Sheikh Dr.Hussain Kamal Khoujah(may Allah's
mercy upon him)devoted his life to public
service and to building the small, but
innovative, family firm of Dr.Hussain Kamal
Khoujah Est into the Kingdom's most popular
medical care conglomerate.
The title by which most knew him—Doctor
Khoujah—grew out of his service during
Ministry of Health as the first pediatrician
in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
His interest in professional medical care
for the public had led him to an expert
medical care administrator Mr. Mohammed
Alungal. He partnered with Mr. Alungal-the
present Chairman & Managing Director of AMC,
in a movement that led to the founding at Al
Abeer Medical Group.
Dr. Khoujah was an ardent egalitarian, an
industrialist fiercely committed to free
enterprise that championed. Over the course
of his 71 years, Sheikh would also be an
activist and philanthropist.
Sheikh Khoujah also had an intense concern
for the patients whom he saw as being lost
in the often bewildering world of medical
care. He strongly advocated improved
education for both doctors and nurses, and
he admired a keen medical mind that also was
linked to a caring heart.
Despite the intensity and determination he
displayed in his role as a service industry
leader, Sheikh had warmth and compassion for
those less privileged than he. He was always
keenly aware of the need to help others, and
during his lifetime, he helped many quietly
and without fanfare.
